Last Wednesday, my husband and I went to the local medical center for taking vitamin B12 shot. Every week, we both take the vitamin B12 shots in order to improve our health. A lot of people may not realize what they are missing if they do not take vitamin B12 shots because no one shares the health information with them. If you want to take vitamin B12 shot, please continue to read below.
8 Reasons Why You Need Vitamin B12 Shot
Increases Metabolism. I am not sure if the fact about vitamin B12 helping increase metabolism or not– because I have been researching some facts about the vitamin B12 boosting metabolism.
This vitamin is flying off health-food-store shelves, with women swearing that megadoses help boost their metabolism; but experts say no research bolsters anecdotal claims. ‘The B vitamins are essential, but they won’t speed up your metabolism,’ says professor of nutrition Jeff Hampl (Levine, para. 23).
Boosts Energy Levels. Each week, my husband and I take the shot and then we take some naps for awhile. It always takes some time to restore our energy levels. Next day, we get up and feel ready to keep active. If you want to try for vitamin B12 injection, you need to discuss this with your medical professional first.
Improves Skin, Hair, and Nails. That’s a fact that vitamin B12 helps improve our skin, hair, and nails. My husband’s hair is easily growing healthy so fast. He is so lucky that his hair grows fast. For me, I have no result of improving my skin because I am simply diabetic. For my nails, they are pretty growing as well as my hair is healthy.
Helps with Anemia. I have anemia, which means I have Iron issues. I take my pill for Iron in result of restoring my low iron counts. For my husband, I have no idea; yet, he has plenty of high iron inside his body. If you do have iron deficiency symptoms, please talk with your medical professional.
Improves Memory. The vitamin B12 improves “maintain healthy nerve cells and red blood cells” (Graff-Radford, para. 1). But if you are an older adult or vegetarian, then you might have vitamin B12 deficiency because the symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency can cause health issues including the memory loss. And “vitamin B-12 supplements can help improve memory” (Graff-Radford, para. 1). The doubtful of evidence is unclear about vitamin B12 that helps improve the memory for people with Alzheimer’s disease.
Reduces Cholesterol. Vitamin B12 can help reduce the cholesterol, “but it can also provide additional cardiovascular health benefits, such as reducing the risk of developing atherosclerosis (hardening and narrowing of the arteries)” (Lower Cholesterol Naturally with B Vitamins, 2015).
Boosts Immune System. “A Vitamin B12 injection contributes to healthier immune system, and is essential for proper cellular function, including the making of DNA during cell division and the proper formation of red blood cells” (Youngren, 2009).
Helps Reduce Stress. I admit that I have been under a lot of stress for various reasons. Therefore, I take vitamin B12 shot to help reduce my stress. My husband has experienced his stress because he has two jobs that give him a lot of pressure. Vitamin B12 helps him to rest and control his stress.
If you are planning to take vitamin B12 shot, please consult with your medical professional first.
