I watched this movie at home with my husband, he told me that Tommy and Meryl made a great couple. He thought that they were real-life married couple, but they were not. He was so confused about the two of married couple attempted to restore their marriage, I explained what happened to that story, and I told him that Meryl and Tommy were only actors, not real-life married couple.
He was like, “Ahhhh, got it!”
After the movie finished, I asked him what he thought about the movie. He was like, “Oh, well… It’s not so bad. I think that the plot in that movie was a little boring. But, the talk between Arnold (Tommy Lee Jones) and Kay (Meryl Streep) was very interesting.” I smiled.
My opinion is that this movie was very good but not the only best top of that comedy drama movies. I really liked Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. Meryl was an incredible actress who knew how to act like a married woman who wanted love deeply with her estranged husband. As opposed to that, an actor, Tommy Lee Jones, was a perfect character as “Arnold”. He was a very sensitive person who was easy to be angry and frustrated. Yet, he defensed himself to involve with the marriage counseling sessions. He had a hard time to open up his feelings. Both of them attempted to work out and look for some answers though. They both figured out how to deal with their marriage problems and poor sexual performances.
Kay (Meryl Streep) was trying something romantic with her husband during that special evening, but it was not successful. The fact was that they fought so hard for love.. So did you think that they could end their marriage?
(I do not have to give the hints here in order to avoid the spoiled news, lol)
The whole plot was part of comedy and drama, the dialogue between the two characters were very mature.
Imagine that, if I were you and had not watched the movie yet, I’d recommend myself to be with my spouse or partner.
